Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain PRO-8

AD & DA 24bit AD/DA converter

Features:

Synchronization internal 44.1kHz, 48kHz, external ADAT®, external wordclock.

24bit, 64 times oversampling delta-sigma AD converter, approx. 103dB dynamic range.

24bit, 128 times oversampling delta-sigma DA-converter, approx. 100dB dynamic range.

8 electronically balanced analog inputs:

  • Microphone input approx. 2kΩ balanced
  • Line input approx. 20kΩ balanced, 10kΩ unbalanced.

8 electronically balanced analog outputs. 24bit/48kHz A/D and D/A converters

  • Output approx. 500Ω balanced and 250Ω unbalanced.

Input gain modified with 9 discrete steps of gain:

  • Microphone input 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50dB  rel. 124dBµV/250Hz @ 0dB gain for 0dB FSD (digital)
  • Line input 1, 2 & 4V rel. 120dBµV/250Hz @ 1V gain setting for 0dB FSD (digital)

0dB FSD (digital) is defined as the point where there's less than 4 dB "headroom" ie. 250Hz sine wave is distorted. Microphone input is distorted/"clipped" when input exceeds nominal level with 3.0 - 3.5 dB, and likewise lineinput when input exceeds nominal level with more than 2dB.

On all tested channels (aau 56543, 56545 & 56551) no clipping / distortion is measured and 3rd harmonic is less than -60dB re. fundamental,  until "clip" led is lit.
