Symphonie & Harmonie data acquisition systems

Both system have input channels with a 18-bit resolution and the application software can select the sampling frequency (up to 51.2 kHz). The application software located on the PC controls all acquisition and processing functions.

Symphonie is a 2-channel and Harmonie is a 4-channel system.

Data acquisition and calculation of Leq and Peak values conform to IEC 804 and IEC 651 type I specifications, while real time analysis available on both input channels in octave or third octave spectra, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz conform to IEC1260 Type 0 specifications for digital filtering. Frequency weighting filters A, B, C and G are available and simultaneous recording of the input signal to the hard disk is a particular feature of SYMPHONIE that enables post processing and further analysis. Vibrational frequency weightings according to ISO2631 may also be applied.

The maximum dynamic range of the system is 120 dB. The minimum value a system can measure is dependent on the microphone sensitivity: e.g. for a sensitivity of 50 mV/Pa, the measurement range covers sound pressure levels from 20 to 135 dB. The software controls the input gain by 1 dB steps. The dynamic range for a given input range is greater than or equal to 70 dB -so as to comply with Type 0 specifications of IEC 804 and IEC651 standards.

Symphonie can supply power to any type of transducer such as pre-polarised microphones, 200 V polarised condenser microphones, force transducers or ICP® accelerometers.
